Short Curriculum Vitae:

Dipl.Ing.Dr. Judith Hagenbuchner is senior researcher at the Department of Pediatrics II, Medical University Innsbruck. After her study of bio- and environmental-technologies at the FH-Wels, she changed 2006 to the Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck and started her PhD thesis (Molecular Biology) at the Pediatric Oncology Group at the Tyrolean Cancer Research Institute. During her PhD-thesis she investigated the role of the transcription factor FOXO3 on apoptosis induction and on chemotherapy resistance in neuroblastoma. After her graduation in 2009 she became lab head of the Pediatric Oncology group. In 2011 she started as university researcher at the Department of Pediatrics II, Experimental Neonatology. For her PhD thesis she received the "Dissertationspreis der Österreichischen Krebshilfe Tirol". In 2012 she was awarded with the "Otto Seibert Preis" and in 2014 with the "Sanovi Preis".

Current research interests:

·  Regulation of FOXO3-induced apoptosis via reactive oxygen species in neurons and neuroblastoma tumors

·  Impact of BIRC5/Survivin on mitochondrial fusion / fission dynamics and the energy metabolism of neuroblastoma

·  Targeting mitochondrial metabolism for neuroprotection
