IKB research funding
In 2019 a collaboration between Innsbrucker Kommunalbetriebe AG (IKB), the University of Innsbruck (UIBK), the Medical University of Innsbruck (MUI) and Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) was established, as part of which funding is provided to research projects that are related to the field of activity of IKB (https://www.ikb.at).

Tendering period: upcoming
Funding amount per project: maximum of 25,000.00 euros. Funding is provided for two up to a maximum of 5 projects per call for tenders.

In 2022 projects by young scientists* from all scientific disciplines at the University of Innsbruck (UIBK), Medical University of Innsbruck (MUI) and Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) were funded in the following subject area:
Drinking Water: submissions may address topics including the following:
- Domestic use
- Municipal use (e.g. supply, core activation for cooling, irrigation, fire-fighting, cleaning, pools – incl. analyses e.g. microbiology, energy etc.)
- Industrial use (process medium, cleaning, auxiliary material, snowmaking, energy etc.)
- Water analysis (e.g.: microorganisms in drinking water “Beyond the pathogens”; trace elements in water)
- Hygiene
Applications must be submitted electronically to the e-mail address forschungsfoerderung@uibk.ac.at by no later than dd.mm.yy (receipt).
Documents to be submitted:
- Application form
- Brief summary of the project (maximum of one page in German), which can be used as a press release
- Project description (research questions/objectives; approach/methodology; degree of novelty/innovation; expected project results with regard to the subjects of the call for tenders; main scientists involved)
- Scheduling
- Budget and resource planning
- Curriculum vitae and publication list of the applicants
