Sample submission

The Protein Core Facility accepts samples from all Medical University Innsbruck Departments, and from external users if capacity permits. In all cases please contact the Facility before you send any sample, to discuss your needs and to determine the best approach to prepare and analyse your samples. We ask you to observe the following procedure:

Contact the Core Facility at an early stage of your project:

If you consider sending samples to the Facility, contact the Facility at an early stage. This will allow you to explain your needs, and us to advise on the best way to prepare your samples.

Fill out the Sample Submission Form:

We ask you to fill out and send the appropriate and signed Sample Submission Form (see below) for all samples and keep one copy for your records for later data reprocessing. The most important goal is for us to get a distinct understanding of your goals and expectations. Provide as much information as you can, since based on this we will design an analytical approach that addresses your question.

Send your sample:

Always inform us when you send off your samples, so that we can be prepared and store them appropriately upon arrival. If you send samples on (dry) ice, avoid shipping them over the weekend. Send your samples to the address in the Contact Information box and always include a print of the Sample Submission Form.
