Girls' Day

We are particularly keen to encourage young women to consider a career in medicine. For this reason, the Medical University of Innsbruck organises an annual event on International Girls' Day to appeal to young girls/women.

What is the purpose of Girls' Day?
JOn average, young women have better school-leaving qualifications and grades. However, they do not fully utilise their career opportunities. More than half of female trainees still opt for one of ten training occupations.

Not a single medical, technical or scientific profession is among them. We are particularly keen to encourage young women to consider a career in medicine. This is why the Medical University of Innsbruck organises an annual event on International Girls' Day to appeal to young girls/women.
