Admission to the Master’s Program in Molecular Medicine

 

  • Successful participation in the admission procedure and allocation of a study place
  • Valid travel document
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Program in Molecular Medicine at the Medical University of Innsbruck or another Bachelor’s or Diploma Program related to the Bachelor’s Program in Molecular Medicine at an approved post-secondary educational domestic or foreign institution (notification/graduation certificate, academic degree certificate, academic transcript, diploma supplement – original and single copy in each case).
  • If available: social insurance card of an Austrian social insurance institution
  • The existing regulations for accreditation and translations must be observed!
  • Proof of a minimum of 40 ECTS-Credits (practical training courses or practical courses). If this proof cannot be provided completely, but for at least 30 or more ECTS-Credits, applicants can apply for conditional admission for one academic year, during which the missing ECTS-Credits, as prescribed by the governing body responsible for study law, can be passed.
  • Furthermore, the following ECTS-Credits in the following specified subjects must be presented:

If this proof cannot be provided completely, but to an extent that the missing ECTS-Credits to not exceed the number of 15, a conditional admission for one academic year can be granted upon request of the applicant, if the missing credits, as prescribed by the governing body responsible for study law, are made up by courses offered in the Bachelor’s Program in Molecular Medicine at the University of Innsbruck within this year. If the missing Credits cannot be presented in time due to the student’s fault, the admission to the study program expires.

Persons who are unable to present one of the above-mentioned documents or who do not submit the documents in accordance with the existing accreditation and/or translation regulations cannot be admitted, even in the case of a long journey.

The execution of the admission in the above-mentioned time with all required documents secures the study place for the beginning of the study in the respective semester under the condition of the proper payment of the ÖH-fee/study fee within the deadlines.
