Collaborations
The new cooperation partners supported the project with those methods and techniques that are not routinely applied in the applicant and host laboratories.
These are the following:
- Agrobacterium tumefaciens mediated transformation (Jose F. Marcos, Instituto de Agroquímica y Tecnología de Alimentos (IATA)
- Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), Valencia, Spain https://www.iata.csic.es/en/staff/jose-francisco-marcos-lopez)
- CE-ESI-MS (Zoltán Kele, University of Szeged, Hungary http://www.mdche.u-szeged.hu/en/cv/kelezoltan_en.pdf)
- RP-HPLC (Györgyi Váradi, University of Szeged, Hungary http://www.mdche.u-szeged.hu/en/cv/varadigyorgyi_en.pdf)
- NMR-based techniques (Gyula Batta, University of Debrecen, Hungary http://szerves.science.unideb.hu/index.php/munkatarsak/prof-dr-batta-gyula/)
- ECD spectroscopy (Attila Borics, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Biological Research Centre, Hungary http://www.brc.hu/personal_page.php?id=bk_boat)
Jose F. Marcos contributed to the development of P. chrysogenum-based expression system for structural and functional investigation of cysteine-rich antifungal proteins and to prove its versatility. Attila Borics, Gyula Batta, Györgyi Váradi and Zoltán Kele performed the structural investigations on the produced proteins contributing to the identification of structural determinants of NFAP for folding, stability and antifungal activity and to the characterization of NFAP2
