Leave of absence

Upon request, students can take a leave of absence of one one or more semesters per occasion due to important reasons, in particular due to 

completion of a military or civil service
pregnancy
care obligations for children or relatives in need of care
prolonged illness
completion of a voluntary social year.

Irrespective of a leave of absence, the ÖH-fee must be paid by the specified deadline each semester.

The application for a leave of absence must be submitted by the beginning of the respective semester at the latest (1 October for the winter semester, 1 March for the summer semester).
